Easter with the Tallinn Card

On Good Friday (April 15) and Easter Sunday (April 17) there are some changes to the regular opening hours of the Tallinn Card partners. On Saturday, April 16, however, the museums and attractions are open for business at their regular hours. 

We have compiled a list of places that you can visit on Good Friday and Easter Sunday, and we wish you an exciting and memorable Easter weekend in Tallinn.

The Estonian Open Air Museum, which maintains and showcases the Estonian traditional heritage and keeps traditions alive, offers visitors the chance to take part in traditional Easter games, songs and foods on April 17. Of course, the egg is a focal feature of Easter celebrations. At the Open Air Museum, you can dye eggs, participate in an egg cracking competition and go on an Easter egg hunt. Read more.

Riviera Palais Brasserie restaurant in Maarjamäe Palace will be offering an Easter family brunch from April 15 until April 17 at 12:00–15:00.

Churches will be holding services.

Programme of the Church of the Holy Spirit:
  • Maundy Thursday, April 14: service in English at 13:00, service in Estonian at 18:00. The church is open between 10:00 and 18:45.
  • Good Friday, April 15: service in Estonian at 11:00, service in English at 15:00. The church is open between 11:00 and 16:00.
  • Holy Saturday, April 16: service in Russian at 11:00. The church is open between 10:00 and 16:00.
  • Easter Sunday, April 17: service in Estonian at 11:00, service in English at 13:00. The church is open between 10:00 and 15:00.
During services, entrance to the church is closed.

Programme of St. Mary's Cathedral (Dome Church):
  • April 15: service at 11:00, Good Friday Evening Prayer at 16:00. The church is open between 10:00 and 16:30.
  • April 17: Lucernarium at 8:00, Mass at 11:00. The church is open between 08:00 and 16:00.
Photography and movement in the church is restricted before and during concerts and church services.
