There are 4 access options: 1) From below, from Weizenbergi Street, where there is a parking lot for the disabled on Mäekalda Street, with a 70 m ramp to the museum. 2) From the Valge Street parking lot above, with a descent path via a very long (350 m) and indented ramp; 3) Using a disability-accessible taxi, coming via the Laagna Tee Road up to the main entrance of the Kumu; 4) Using the lift to get from Valge Street to the yard. There are 2 lifts in the museum itself: 1) a small lift that fits 2 wheelchairs; 2) the larger service elevator with room for approximately 10 wheelchairs. To use the service lift, please ask the security guard. The service counter in the foyer and the library are quite high (110 cm). There are 2 wheelchairs available for borrowing.
Kumu Art Museum
The cutting-edge Kumu, voted European Museum of the Year for 2008, is the main building of the Art Museum of Estonia. The facility contains exhibition halls, a library, an educational centre, art studios, a video studio and an auditorium complete with the latest sound, video, cinema and lighting systems.
